Little Hanoi Libuš
Recording from the vietnamese Market Halls SAPA in Prague 4 Libuš. The Little Hanoi is hidden in the outskirts, inside the industrial complex of the former nightmarish Prague Meatfactory. The former concentration camp for chicken next door went bankrupt last year luckily. They call the Market SAPA, inspired paradoxically by a beautiful town somewhere in the vietnamese mountain range near the Chinese border. The trippers from Hanoi go there for holiday. The market is managed by a company called SAPARIA -reputedly the most profitable vietnamese enterprice in Czechia. It is one of the few places in Prague, where the near future is easy to notice. After 20 years since the political changes Prague remains painfuly a two-culture town: czech and turist. The market was destroyed by fire on November 7th.
