Soundscape inspired by the location of the high-voltage distribution station 400 kV / 110 kV at Řeporyje. It is near Slivenec district and on the border of Řeporyje and Zadní Kopanina. Beside to the giant silo near the railway station with a giant Meindl logo on it, the electricity substation dominates the neigbourhood. Allegedly the substation was built back in the 60s, when Řeporyje was still a village, relatively distant from Prague. Here intersect several inlets for electricity, including the High Voltage. In the metal forest of masts one can find several types, mainly Danube and a "keg" and - because of the crossings - there are also low-poles type masts. You can clearly hear static electric discharges, and if you walk around with a fluorescent lamp in hand, it should light up. Prague takes electricity from the national transmission system with a voltage of 400 kV and 220 kV lines supplying power to the input transformer TR 400/110 kV Řeporyje, Chodov and TR 220/110 kV in Malešice. To a lesser extent, Prague 110 kV system supplies the input to the transformer TR 110/22 kV Sever. the supplier of electricity in the territory of The Prague Energetic Comp. 110 kV distribution network on the territory of Prague was designed as a circle and is powered from a total of twenty 110/22 kV transformer substations, interconnected aboveground or cable lines of 110 kV. Transformer stations located in the central part of the inner city are "encapsulated", in the outskirt areas above".
