Zvuky Prahy / Sounds of Prague

Soundscape/composition using field recordings from different locations, Prague (Petřín Hill, Riegrovy sady, Letna park) and near Most at Osek. Complemented with coded sounds using Sonic Pi: recorded and composed during my residency at Agosto Foundation in August 2017. This is 1-of-6 sound compositions as work in progress, which are inspired by urban insects based on imitation, masking, and metamorphosis. Insect sound sources: Myrmica rubra ant recorded in Osek forest with piezoelectric amplifier; unknown species of bee and wasp (probably Vespula vulgaris) buzzing and fighting over grass, meadows at parks, recorded with directional mic; few unknown birds singing at parks and forests along the road of Osek; crickets recorded with directional mic in Osek lake at dawn.
