Imaginary landscape #22 - Faustiada
Faust's house was bought In 1590 by famous English alchemist Edward Kelly who was searchin in Prague for a place to carry out alleged experiments to turn lead into gold, or perhaps vice versa. Later a priest from the church of St. Jan Nepomucký on Skalka nearby had here extensive collections of funeral objects. At the beginning of the 20th century, the house on the edge of Charles Square was purchased by the Municipal University Hospital. In 1945, the building was partly damaged during the Prague bombing, and during the repairs, murals and a hidden hole in the ceiling was later uncovered, large enough to pull human body thourgh it. Imaginary Landscape No. 22 was emited from the forgotten recording of the puppet show of the Handa Gote Dr. Faust and is framed by other sediments: voice of Hans Arp, Jonas Mekas, marten, Konstantin Biebl, Antonín Kopecký, dying Jan Žižka and other theatrical and acousmatical characters.
