Baroque monastery church of st. Joseph at Malá Strana was built between 1686 and 1692 and originally served as a monastery church for barefoot Carmelites. Its architecture is one of the few examples of Nordic or Dutch Baroque in Bohemia. The interior is one of the richest in Prague, both architecturally, furnishings, paintings, sculptures and handicrafts. The sound of passing trams penetrates from outside.
