Radlice Jewish Cementary
Abandoned jewish cemetery is hidden in the small forest above Radlice if you walk direction Dívčí hrady. Last tombstone is from 1937 and the place has since then shared the fate of other Jewish cemeteries in Bohemia and Moravia. Since recently, someone cares about it, the mortuary is maintained, most of thumstones standing, some stones places, but the porcelain portraits of people are long gone in second hand shops. In 1788 this cemetery founded Smíchov Jewish Community and counts allegedly almost six hundred graves. Since the last 20 years the new rich built their modern villas, almost against the falling walls of the cemetery. Address: The Old Jewish Cemetery in 2556, Praha 5 - Radlice. Public transport: Bus number 231 from the stop to Na Knížecí to a station Kesnerka
