There is a large lake with shallow puddles, where probably brown or green or frogs Pelophylax esculentus or Rana esculenta are enjoing warm water. Their voices are loud, because of the resonaters in the corners of their mouths. Their screaming is a social activity - if one frog sings, others will join. It is heard mostly at noon and in the early evening. The males sings to idicate their territory and scare off possible invaders of the same species - in the water and on the shore - from their vicinity.
