Voices and stories from Karlín Studio Gallery
Sound piece from the exhibition about narration and memory displayed the Gallery of Karlin Studios. The show was curated by Jan Krtička and Jan Prosek. I walked through the gallery space with the recorder, passing by tables, equiped with speaker, mp3 player and movement sensor. The body of visitor triggers sequentially each sample of recorded voices of people who, shortly, or nor describe memories of their own performance or event. Artist speaking: Jan Mlčoch, Thomas Ruller, Joseph Danek and Blahoslav Rozbořil, Vladimír Havlik, Vendula Chalánková, Lenka Klodová, Matěj Kolář, George Kovanda, Franz Kowolovski, Marian Palla, Rafani, Paul Sterec, George Surůvka, Miloš Šejn and Martin Zet.
Finally I wanted to switch on as much as possible samples of voices, a sound gradually fills the place, interlinking into the polyphony of individual timbres, words and manner of speech.
