Spring high water under the footbridge in Troja. The painting by Antonín Chittussi "Vltava under Prague" from around 1885 shows how the Vltava riverbed was like before the technical innovation of the embankment and the construction of the weir upstream. The banks were slightly sloping, we see rugged transitions and willow stands on flood-disturbed banks.
